What does Brazil, rock'n'roll and children's TV have in common? Me! I'm Marcelo, great to have you here.

I've been an actor-musician for over a decade and I'm also the lead singer of The Vone.

I perform regularly with the epic family band Andy and the Oddsocks and I'm also one of the leads in CBBC's Andy and the Band, playing the inter-stellar rockstar: Rio.

I trained at the International College of Musical Theatre. Before that I did a degree in Performing Arts at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge.

And before that I was born and raised in Portugal by my Brazilian family.

I'm glad you asked! The lead singer of The Vone, Marcelo Cervone, plays Rio in Andy and the Band, as seen on CBBC and the BBC iPlayer. He plays Rio alongside Andy Day (as himself), Stewart McCheyne (as Cousin Mac), Marcus Ramtohul (as Blu), Holly Mallett (as Moxy) and Damian Williams (as Whiff).
